The bridges along the great ocean road hold a fascination for me in my practice. Man made and imposing edifices straddling the creek estuaries giving me moment to pause. The quiet cool calm under the bridge is secretive and mysterious and dramatically offset by the thunk thunk and close proximity of speeding vehicles overhead. However there is a back story just a short way along the rocks that I can’t ignore. Up here every drop of water in the creek quietly finds its way through the landscape of pools and rapids making the quietest of quiet statements as it waits its turn to pass under the bridge to meet the ocean.
