A "Big Day" on the coast, an expression that would normally refer the size of the surf. However this Big Day is all about the rain. Water gushes from places previously unheard of (except their will always be someone claiming to have seen that before, and more so). Water is important to me in my practice as new colours are teased out watching the interplay of light and movement. This painting has a study, a smaller, to scale work. So now I have made two paintings using the same subject and expect this process to generate more work that explore the wet rocks and rushing water that make up the panorama of Big Blue.
